Overview
We know what a huge deal it is to welcome a new family member into your home! That being said we are honored to be considered for such an important role in your life, and we want to make sure that you are educated in your decision making process. Please take time to read the following before proceeding to commit to the life of one of our beloved Australian Labradoodles. We want to ensure that our pups are going to their forever homes!

It is important to go into pet ownership with realistic expectations.
Puppies are a lot of work and require lots of time and patience!

-There may be sleepless nights early on from puppy adjusting to it's new life!
-There may be accidents on the carpet.
-You will need to puppy proof your home to protect your puppy & your favorite belongings.
-You will have to be home to let puppy out to potty and exercise.
You are going to get out of your pup what you put into him/her! Training, walking, socialization, play and consistency are key. These are all responsibilities you must prepare to make time for when you decide to adopt a puppy. We recommend you hire a trainer to build a firm foundation and avoid frustration and bad habits from being formed early on!

We are very involved with all of our puppies and dogs. We put in a lot of time, effort and money. We fall in love with each one, and they are all very much a part of our family. With that being said it is our goal to make sure our pups are going to a home where they will be loved, cherished and spoiled, forever. If you are unsure if you are ready for a dog, or do not have the time to devote to a dog, please do not apply.

At Greystone, our pups are bred to have loving, friendly, intelligent personalities and even temperaments. We match puppies to their families by temperament, gender and color. We will do our best to provide you with a puppy that is everything you are hoping for.
A sequence of events once you are assigned to a litter:

-
When puppies are born, you can start watching each litters' individual page for puppy birth announcements and birth pictures. At least every two weeks we try to update the page along with new pictures and reminders. Please be aware that puppies change drastically between birth and 6 months of age, and most will end up being very similar in look once the coat is fully developed. Taking care of puppies is time consuming so it is easiest for us to take quick photos and videos in between these updates & post those to our Greystone Facebook page. If you would like to follow those pictures and updates, please visit Facebook and “like” our page at https://m.facebook.com/greystonelabradoodles/

-
WE DO NOT SHIP OUR PUPPIES UNATTENDED! All of our puppies must be picked up in person or flown with a nanny. We offer a nanny service to hand deliver your puppy to the airport of your choice. With our nanny service, you would provide round-trip airfare & their service fee in the Continental US. If you are flying in to pick up your puppy, a nanny can meet you at Detroit, Toledo or Ft. Wayne airports, nanny delivery is subject to a fee, or you may rent a car and pick puppy up at our home.

-
When the puppies are born we require a second payment of $1250, or you may pay the remaining balance at this time.

-
Health warranty, Spay/Neuter Agreement, signed contract & the remaining balance of $1500 plus Ohio sales tax if applicable are due when puppy reaches 4 weeks of age. This applies to everyone, even families picking up their puppy in person.
*We do reserve the right to reassign puppies which are not paid for in full by 4 weeks of age to another family. A reminder of final payment is sent out when pups turn 3 weeks old, which gives plenty of time for payment to be received promptly. Payments minus $500 deposit will be returned in this case, for our time and inconvenience. Sorry we do not accept online payments, but prefer checks or cash for those who will be paying at pick up.

*Greystone reserves the right to cancel and issue a refund at any time for individuals who are being difficult, or in the best interest of our pups.

-
5-7 weeks of age all our WALA registered Australian Labradoodle puppies will be microchipped.

-
At 7 weeks of age 1st vaccinations will be administered. Puppies will be checked by our vet to make sure they are healthy and thriving.

-
Puppy choices will be offered to families around 7 weeks according to reservation list order and the best fit for family dynamics. We do our very best to honor your preferences, but do reserve the right to assign puppies to the family that is the best fit for them if we feel it necessary. First time owners often ask for our help. This is on a case by case basis. Trust that it is important to us that you are completely satisfied!

-
At 8 weeks puppies are ready to go home!

-
The Gotcha date and time will be set months in advance, so you will have time to plan your schedule and make travel arrangements to visit us. On Adoption Day, families will receive paperwork and an adoption gift bag. *If using a nanny, all paperwork & gifts will arrive with nannies.

We feed our puppies Life's Abundance Small/Medium Breed Puppy Food. With the stress of transitioning puppy to a new home and family we require families to purchase a bag of LA Puppy Food by age 6 weeks through our website to have on hand and ready for them when they come home to you. The wellbeing of our precious pups is our concern and having one less stress avoids sick tummies which lead to loose stools and stress for all. **Order Life's Abundance food through this link ahead of time for an easy transition.

6 months of age. Though your puppy will come registered to WALA, your purchase contract with us is not fulfilled until proof of spay/neuter has been provided to us directly from your veterinarian by email. Ownership paperwork will not be transferred to customer until the contract has been completed and fulfilled. You will need to join WALA as a pet member in order to transfer the registration papers into your name and to receive your certified pedigree, if desired.
